2. Definitions
Academy / we / us / our: the company named above.
Website: the domain
futureskill.online
and all of its pages in Arabic and English.
Parent / purchaser / you: the adult who opens the account, pays, owns the account, and contracts on behalf of the student.
Student: the child who receives the service and who is registered as a profile under the parent account.
Lesson: a live online teaching session of 55 minutes.
Package: a set number of lessons bought in a single purchase, either 4 lessons or 8 lessons.
Quran circle: a regular Quran memorisation circle with a fixed weekly slot.
Platform: the video meeting application on which the service is delivered, namely
Google Meet
Confirmation: the confirmation email we send you after payment succeeds and your slot is secured.
3. What we sell
We sell three products only:
- A single lesson.
- A package of 4 lessons.
- A package of 8 lessons.
We do not offer any larger package.
These products are delivered across two teaching lines:
One. Private one-to-one online lessons.
Two. Quran memorisation, regular circles with a fixed weekly slot.
Everything we sell is delivered online only. There is no in-person tuition, and we do not sell any physical goods to be shipped to you.
4. The free trial lesson
The trial lesson is completely free and lasts 30 minutes.
Each student is entitled to one free trial lesson, once only, ever. It is not one trial per teacher. Changing teacher, subject or teaching line does not give the student a further free trial.
We do not ask for card details or any payment method to book the trial lesson.
If the student does not attend the trial lesson and it was not cancelled in advance, the free trial counts as used.
5. Who may purchase
Only a person aged 18 or over may purchase. That person contracts on behalf of the student and owns the account.
A single parent account may hold profiles for more than one student.
A child may not open an account or complete a purchase, and we never ask a child for payment details.
By placing an order you confirm that you are an adult, that you are the student's parent or are authorised by the parent to contract on the student's behalf, and that the details you have entered are correct.
If we find that an account was opened by a child, we may suspend it and contact the parent to put matters right.
6. How a booking is made and when it is confirmed
The steps on the website are:
- You choose the teaching line, subject and level, and choose a single lesson, a 4-lesson package or an 8-lesson package.
- You open a parent account and add a student profile.
- You choose the slot, or your preferred slot, depending on the service.
- You review the order summary before paying, showing the description, the price and the currency.
- You complete payment.
Displaying a service on the website is an invitation to treat, not a binding acceptance by us. The contract is not formed simply by clicking the payment button.
The contract is formed and the booking is confirmed when we send the confirmation email to your email address setting out the service and the slot.
The period between a confirmed booking and the first lesson is:
You choose the date of the first lesson yourself from the times available in the teacher’s calendar.
If we cannot secure the slot you selected, whether because of a teacher's schedule or for any other reason, we will contact you to propose an alternative. If no alternative suits you, we refund you in full to the original payment method, and we issue that refund within 14 days of you telling us.
7. Prices, currency and tax
The price shown on a service page is the price of the service described on that page. Current prices are shown in full on the pricing page and on each teacher's page, and appear as a final figure before you pay. No amount is written in this document, so that an old text can never contradict a new price.
Prices are displayed in the visitor's own currency, from the following:
SAR · AED · GBP · EUR
The currency in which you will actually be charged is named explicitly in words at checkout before you confirm. Please check it before completing the purchase.
Settlement on our side is made in pounds sterling GBP
because the company is UK-registered. If your card is denominated in another currency, your bank or card issuer may apply an exchange rate, a conversion fee or an international transaction fee. Those charges come from your bank, not from us. We do not control them and we do not receive them.
Value Added Tax
The company is not registered for VAT in the United Kingdom, because its turnover is below the registration threshold of GBP 90,000.
Our prices therefore contain no VAT, no VAT is added at checkout, and we do not issue a VAT registration number.
The amount charged to you is the amount shown in the order summary before you press the payment button. We add no hidden fees afterwards.
We may change our prices in future. No price change affects a package or course you have already bought and paid for.
8. Payment and receipts
Payment is taken electronically through our payment service provider, and your card details are processed directly by them. We never see your full card number and we do not store it.
A paid service does not begin until payment has been completed.
As soon as payment succeeds we email you a receipt carrying the company name and registration number, a description of what you bought, the amount and the currency.
If the receipt does not arrive, please check your spam folder first, then write to info@futureskill.online
If your bank declines the payment, or it fails for any technical reason, no contract is formed and no slot is held.
9. No automatic renewal
We do not automatically renew any subscription or package.
We do not store your card in order to take later payments.
Every new purchase is a fresh decision and a fresh payment made by you.
When the lessons in your package run out, everything simply stops and nothing is charged to you until you buy a new package.
10. Delivery of the service
All lessons, courses and circles are delivered live online on the platform Google Meet
A lesson lasts 55 minutes and is booked inside a 60-minute slot. The remaining 5 minutes are a deliberate buffer between one lesson and the next, not time taken off your lesson.
How the joining link and the reminder are sent:
The lesson link arrives in your booking confirmation email and also appears in your account.
What you need to provide: a computer or tablet with a camera and microphone (a phone works too, though a larger screen is better for the student), a stable internet connection, and a quiet place for the student. Providing these is your responsibility.
A lesson runs from its scheduled start time. If the student joins late, the teacher continues with the remaining time and the session is not extended at the expense of another student's slot.
You choose the teacher when you book. If the teacher cancels a lesson, we offer you a substitute teacher or a new time, and the choice is yours.
11. Timings, time zones and daylight saving
Every timing we show you is written in your own local time.
The booking confirmation is the single source of truth for when a lesson takes place. If anything else shows a different time, the confirmation governs.
A one-off booking is stored by us as a fixed universal instant.
A recurring weekly slot is stored as the teacher's local wall-clock time together with the name of the teacher's time zone, and it is recomputed each week.
The reason is that our teachers are in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Lebanon, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates, while our families are in the Gulf and in Europe. Egypt and Lebanon observe daylight saving on different dates from Europe, while Syria and the Gulf states do not observe it at all. For roughly four weeks a year the gap between a teacher and a parent therefore shifts by one hour.
Where a daylight-saving change moves your lesson in your own local time, we notify you before the lesson.
12. If a lesson is not delivered by us
If the teacher does not attend, or the lesson is interrupted from our side by a technical failure on our end, the lesson is not counted against you and remains an unused lesson.
In that case you may choose between:
- rescheduling it to another slot, or
- asking for its value to be refunded to the original payment method.
We issue that refund within 14 days of you telling us.
An internet failure on your side, or a problem with the student's device, is not a missed lesson on our part. We will nonetheless look at such cases fairly where the interruption was early and clear-cut.
13. Rescheduling
You may reschedule a lesson free of charge if you tell us at least 24 hours before it is due to start.
If you give us less than 24 hours' notice, or the student does not attend, the lesson counts as used.
Deadline for postponed lessons
A lesson you postpone must be taken within one month of its original date for an 8-lesson package, and within two weeks for a 4-lesson package, however many times it is postponed. The deadline always runs from the lesson’s original date.
- If we postpone or cancel the lesson, the deadline is extended automatically by the same period.
- We never forfeit a lesson automatically. If the deadline passes, we contact you to schedule the lesson or refund its value under section 14.
- You may ask for a one-off extension before the deadline passes; we decide at our discretion.
The deadline is shown on the purchase page before you pay.
14. Refunds for what has not been used
We do not operate a credit system. There is no credit, no balance held with us, and no validity period on any amount.
If you stop and lessons remain unused, their value is refunded to the same payment method you paid with.
We make no administrative deduction on private lessons or on Quran circles. The unused part is refunded in full.
How the amount is calculated
After the first 14 days from purchase, lessons the student actually attended are charged at the single-lesson price, not at their discounted price inside the package, and the remainder is refunded to you.
Within the first 14 days, which is the statutory cancellation period in section 15, lessons attended are charged pro rata to the package price you actually paid.
Worked example after the 14-day period: you bought an 8-lesson package and the student attended 2 lessons before you asked for a refund. We charge those 2 lessons at the single-lesson price published on the day you bought, deduct that from the amount you paid, and refund the remainder to your original payment method.
Summer courses
We do not currently offer summer courses. If we launch them, we will publish their terms here before enrolment opens.
Refund timing, which is the same in every case
We issue the refund within 14 days of being told. That is a statutory period under
Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, reg. 34
and we cannot extend it.
Separately from that: once we have issued the refund, the money may take up to a further 10 working days to reach your account. That period is set by your own bank and card issuer and is outside our control.
For a goodwill or discretionary refund granted outside the statutory right, we take up to 30 days.
Full details are in our refund policy Refund and Cancellation Policy
and in Arabic سياسة الاسترداد والإلغاء
15. The statutory 14-day right to cancel
Because we are a UK company selling to consumers at a distance, you have a legal right to cancel the contract within 14 days without giving a reason.
The 14 days start at the moment the confirmation email is sent to your email address.
Where the service starts before the 14 days end
Many of our families want to start straight away and do not want to wait 14 days. We therefore ask you, at the point of purchase, to agree expressly that the service may begin during the cancellation period.
If you agreed to an immediate start and then cancel within the 14 days:
- lessons the student attended are charged pro rata to the package price you actually paid;
- a lesson missed without prior notice counts as used, under section 13;
- the remainder is refunded to you with no administrative deduction.
If the service has not yet begun, you are refunded in full.
How to tell us you are cancelling
Write to info@futureskill.online
from the email address registered on your account, quoting your order number. A clear statement from you is enough.
A model cancellation form is available, and we send it to you on request from the same address info@futureskill.online
You do not have to use that form. Telling us in any clear way is accepted.
16. The parent's obligations
As the person contracting with us, you are responsible for:
- the accuracy of the details you enter about yourself and about the student, and for updating them if they change;
- keeping your account login details safe and not sharing them;
- preparing the device, connection and study space before the lesson begins;
- telling us in advance of any learning or health need of the student that affects how the lesson runs;
- general supervision of the student during lessons, appropriate to the student's age;
- telling us immediately about any inappropriate behaviour or content you notice.
The account is personal. The service is bought for the student named on the profile and may not be transferred to a student outside your account, sold, or shared with another family.
17. Student conduct and our right to end the service
We expect students to behave respectfully towards the teacher.
We may stop a lesson or end the service if any of the following occurs:
- verbal abuse, bullying or harassment directed at a teacher;
- repeated and deliberate disruption of the lesson after we have warned you;
- sharing the lesson link or login details with people who are not registered;
- recording or publishing a lesson without our written permission;
- using our teaching materials for commercial purposes.
In minor cases we warn you first and give you an opportunity to put things right.
In cases of serious misconduct we may end the service immediately. Where the service is ended because of serious misconduct on your side, no refund is due for the remaining lessons.
Conversely, if we end the service for a reason of our own or for an organisational reason, we refund the value of the unused lessons under section 14.
Our safeguarding policy Safeguarding Policy
and in Arabic سياسة حماية الطفل
18. Lessons are not recorded
A lesson is not recorded, in audio, video or screen capture, and neither the teacher nor the Academy keeps any copy of it.
Neither you nor the student may record, screen-capture, stream or publish a lesson without our written permission, in order to protect the privacy of the teacher and of other students.
In its place, you may sit in on any lesson at any time, without notice and without asking, under the safeguarding policy.
How we handle personal data, and your rights Privacy Policy
and in Arabic سياسة الخصوصية
19. Intellectual property in teaching materials
All notes, slides, worksheets, exercises, assessments and course materials we prepare are the intellectual property of the Academy or of those who have licensed them to us.
When you buy a service we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use those materials for the study of the registered student only.
You may not copy, distribute, upload, sell, use them to teach other students, or rewrite them and attribute them to anyone else.
We hold a UK registered trade mark under number UK00003917995
and the Academy's logo and mark may not be used without our written permission.
20. Limitation of liability
We undertake to provide the service with reasonable care and skill, and to a professional standard consistent with what you have paid.
We do not guarantee any particular academic outcome, grade, or success in an examination or entrance test, because the outcome depends on the student, on their school, and on factors beyond our control.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, nor for loss that was not reasonably foreseeable at the time the contract was made.
We are not liable for interruption caused by a failure of your own internet connection, by an outage of the video meeting platform itself, or by events beyond our reasonable control.
In all cases, our total financial liability to you does not exceed the amount you actually paid for the service to which the claim relates.
What cannot be excluded
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for:
- death or personal injury caused by our negligence;
- fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
- any liability that the law does not allow to be excluded or limited.
These terms also do not affect your mandatory consumer rights under the law of your country of residence, which are preserved.
21. Complaints
If you are unhappy with the service, write to info@futureskill.online
quoting your order number, the student's name, and a description of the problem.
We acknowledge a complaint within two working days.
A safeguarding concern is acknowledged within one working day and is handled under our safeguarding policy Safeguarding Policy
If our reply does not satisfy you, you may ask for it to be reviewed by management.
We would always prefer to resolve matters with you directly before any other step is taken.
22. Changes to these terms
We may amend these terms from time to time for regulatory, legal or operational reasons.
The terms that apply to your order are the version published on the website at the moment you completed that order.
No later amendment applies retrospectively to a package or course you bought before the amendment.
We publish the last updated date at the top of this page.
23. Governing law and the prevailing text
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
This does not deprive you of your mandatory consumer rights under the law of your country of residence, nor of your right to bring proceedings in the courts of your own country where the law gives you that right.
This page is published in Arabic and in English. If there is any difference or conflict between the two texts, the English text published at Terms of Sale
prevails.
