Refund and Cancellation Policy

In force from 23 September 2026Supersedes any earlier version

The five-line summary

  1. Reschedule a lesson free of charge if you tell us at least 24 hours before it starts.
  2. Less than 24 hours' notice, or the student not attending, counts as a lesson used.
  3. Whatever you have not used is refunded to the payment method you paid with, with no administrative deduction. We hold no credit and there is no validity period.
  4. Lessons already taken are charged at the single-lesson price and the rest is refunded.
  5. For a cancellation under your statutory right we issue the refund within 14 days of being told, and your bank may take up to 10 further working days to show it.

1. Scope

This policy covers everything we sell:

  • Private one-to-one online lessons
  • Quran memorisation circles

There are three purchase options and no others:

  1. A single lesson
  2. A package of four lessons
  3. A package of eight lessons

All teaching is delivered online, over Google Meet. There is no in-person tuition and there are no physical goods.

A lesson lasts 55 minutes inside a booked slot of 60 minutes. The remaining 5 minutes are a deliberate gap between one lesson and the next.

The purchaser is the parent, who must be 18 or over, contracts on behalf of the child and owns the account. One parent account may hold several child profiles. A child may not create an account or make a purchase and is never asked for payment details.

This version replaces any earlier published refund policy.

2. The trial lesson

The trial lesson is free. Each student gets one free trial lesson once, ever, not one trial per teacher.

We do not ask for card details for the trial lesson, and because nothing is paid there is nothing to refund.

3. Rescheduling a lesson: the 24-hour rule

You may reschedule any lesson free of charge, with nothing deducted, provided your request reaches us at least 24 hours before the scheduled start.

How to use the rule:

  1. Reschedule the lesson yourself from your account on the website, at least 24 hours before it starts.
  2. If that is not possible, message us by email or WhatsApp using the details at the end of this page, with the parent’s name, the email address on the account, the child’s name, and the date and time of the lesson.
  3. Notice is counted from the moment your message reaches us, not from the moment we reply.
  4. You will receive written confirmation of the new slot. The new slot is not held until that confirmation arrives.

Our contact hours are Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 16:00 UK time, so confirmation may arrive on the next working day. The 24 hours run from the moment your request reaches us, at any hour of any day.

Which clock applies. All times are shown to you in your own time zone, and your booking confirmation is the single source of truth for when a lesson is. The 24 hours are counted against that time.

Our teachers and our families sit in different time zones, and some countries change to summer time on different dates from Europe. For a few weeks a year your local lesson time can therefore move by an hour. If a daylight-saving change moves your local lesson time, we notify you.

Deadline for postponed lessons

A lesson you postpone must be taken within one month of its original date for an 8-lesson package, and within two weeks for a 4-lesson package, however many times it is postponed. The deadline always runs from the lesson’s original date.

  • If we postpone or cancel the lesson, the deadline is extended automatically by the same period.
  • We never forfeit a lesson automatically. If the deadline passes, we contact you to schedule the lesson or refund its value under section 5.
  • You may ask for a one-off extension before the deadline passes; we decide at our discretion.

The deadline is shown on the purchase page before you pay.

4. Late rescheduling and no-shows

Late rescheduling. If a request reaches us less than 24 hours before the lesson, the lesson counts as used.

No-show. If the student does not join within 15 minutes of the start, and we received no prior notice, the lesson counts as used. The teacher stays available for the whole of those 15 minutes.

A lesson counted as used in either case is not refunded.

If the failure is ours. If the teacher cannot attend, or the lesson is interrupted for a reason on our side, the lesson does not count as used. We first offer you a replacement time or a replacement teacher. If the replacement does not suit you, we refund the value of that lesson to the same payment method, with no deduction. The choice is yours.

Connection problems. If the student's own connection fails and the disconnection continues, the lesson remains counted as used. If the failure is on our side or on the platform's side, it is treated as an Academy failure as described above.

5. The unused part of a package is refunded to your original payment method

Packages are paid for in advance and lessons are deducted from them one at a time.

If you decide to stop before the package is used up, the unused part is refunded to the payment method you paid with.

  • We hold no amount as credit or points, and nothing has a validity period.
  • We deduct no administrative fee on private lessons or on Quran circles. The unused part is refunded in full.
  • After the first 14 days from purchase, lessons actually taken, and lessons counted as used under section 4, are charged at the single-lesson price rather than at the package rate, and the remainder is refunded.
  • Within the first 14 days, which is the cancellation period in section 7, these lessons are charged pro rata to the package price you actually paid.

Worked example after the 14-day period. You buy an eight-lesson package, take two lessons, then ask to stop. The two lessons are charged at the single-lesson price published on the day you bought, not at their in-package price, and the rest of what you paid is refunded.

Current prices are shown in full on the pricing page and on each teacher's page, and appear as a final figure before you pay. No amount is written on this page, so that an old text can never contradict a new price.

6. Summer courses

We do not currently offer summer courses. If we launch them, we will publish their terms here before enrolment opens.

7. The statutory 14-day cancellation right

Because you are buying at a distance from a company registered in the United Kingdom, you have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days, without giving a reason.

When the 14 days start. The period starts at the moment the confirmation email is sent to you. That is the only trigger we use, and it is the same trigger stated in the terms of sale.

How this interacts with a service you asked us to start immediately:

  • If you asked for the service to start immediately inside the 14-day window and then cancel within that same window, you pay only for what was actually supplied up to the moment you told us, and the remainder is refunded to your original payment method.
  • What counts as supplied is the lessons actually delivered, plus any lesson counted as used under section 4, each charged pro rata to the package price you actually paid, not at the single-lesson price.
  • If the service is fully performed inside the 14-day window at your express request and with your acknowledgement given at checkout, the statutory cancellation right ends when performance is complete.
  • At checkout you are shown an explicit consent box covering immediate start and its consequences.

8. If we cancel or postpone

If we cancel or postpone a course or a circle from its published dates, or stop the service from our side, you receive a full refund of the unused part with nothing deducted, and we issue that refund within 14 days of telling you about the cancellation. If you prefer, you may take an alternative date instead of a refund. The choice is yours.

9. How to request a refund

Requests must be in writing, by email or WhatsApp. We do not accept refund requests given verbally, so that both sides keep a dated record.

Include in your request:

  1. The account holder's name
  2. The email address used for the purchase
  3. The receipt or order number sent to you after payment
  4. The child's name and the name of the package or course
  5. The purchase date
  6. Your reason, if you wish to give one. No reason is required inside the statutory 14-day window.

Do not send us your card details or your bank account number. Refunds go back automatically to the original payment method, and we need no further financial information from you. Treat any message asking for card details in our name as fraudulent and report it to us.

You will receive written acknowledgement of your request and a written decision.

10. Refund timing

This section sets out the difference between the date we issue your money and the date it reaches your account.

Type of caseThe deadline that binds usWhat your bank may add afterwards
Cancellation under the statutory rightWe issue the refund within 14 days of being told of your decision to cancelUp to 10 further working days
Discretionary goodwill refund outside the statutory rightUp to 30 daysUp to 10 further working days

Our obligation. In cases covered by the statutory cancellation right we issue the refund no later than 14 days from the day you tell us you are cancelling. This is a binding maximum under

UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, reg. 34

and we are not permitted to agree a longer period with you.

What is outside our control. Once we have issued the refund, it may take up to 10 further working days to appear in your account or on your card statement, depending on your bank and your card issuer. That additional period is not a delay on our side and we cannot shorten it.

Discretionary refunds. Where we agree to refund as a goodwill gesture although no statutory right applies, our own deadline is up to 30 days, followed by the same bank processing time.

11. Currency and tax

Prices are shown in your local currency, which is SAR, AED, GBP or EUR, and the currency is named in words at checkout. Our settlement currency is GBP.

Prices contain no VAT, and the company is not registered for VAT because its turnover is below the registration threshold.

  • Refunds are returned to the same payment method used for the purchase. We do not send refunds to a different card or account.
  • We charge no fee of our own for processing a refund.
  • There is no automatic renewal, and your card is not stored for later charges.
  • An email receipt carrying the company name and number is sent to you immediately after payment.
  • If the exchange rate moves between the payment date and the refund date, the amount that appears in your local currency may differ from the amount you paid. That difference comes from your bank's exchange rate. We neither control it nor benefit from it.
  • Any transfer or foreign currency fees charged by your own bank are governed by your agreement with that bank.

12. What is not refunded

  • Lessons that have actually been delivered
  • Lessons counted as used through late rescheduling or a no-show, because the teacher's time was reserved and closed to other students
  • Your own internet, device or other external costs

Apart from those, the unused part of what you paid is refunded to your original payment method.

13. Complaints

If you believe a refund request was handled incorrectly, write to us. We acknowledge a complaint within two working days, then review the case again and give you a reasoned reply. Your statutory rights are unaffected throughout.

14. Governing law and language

This policy is governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Where the Arabic and English texts differ, the English text prevails.

Mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence are preserved and are not reduced by this policy.
